Accelerating technology and practices to make agriculture more humane for all.
More details coming soon.
In the meantime, follow our latest updates.
Fairer Fields accelerates the science and technology needed to make agriculture more humane for all. We're a nonprofit that brings together farmers, industry partners, and researchers to develop practical, evidence-based approaches to agriculture that support productivity, animal welfare, and farmer agency.
Agriculture affects numerous animals every year. We research and promote technologies and practices that improve outcomes for animals and support farmers, and work with producers and agricultural companies to implement better practices.
We concentrate on the pressing and neglected questions in agricultural management, including:
Abraham previously served as COO of Rethink Priorities and Director of Operations for GovAI, and founded and served as the first Executive Director at Wild Animal Initiative, a scientific grantmaking organization building the academic field of welfare biology.
Juliette Williamson is the Program Coordinator at Fairer Fields, where she leads outreach across the insecticide, seed, and agricultural sectors.
Kadie Britt holds a Ph.D. in entomology from Virginia Tech, a Master's in entomology and plant pathology from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor's in environmental studies from Emory & Henry College. She also completed a postdoctoral research appointment and served as a program coordinator with the University of California.
Julie Augustin obtained her Ph.D. in Insect Behavioral Ecology from the University of Montreal, Canada. She holds a BS.c. and MS.c. in Plant Protection from the University of Avignon, and completed two postdoctoral fellowships: the first at the French Agricultural Research and Cooperation Organization (CIRAD), focusing on biocontrol using service plants, and the second at the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research in Budapest, focusing on the monitoring of mosquitoes using bioacoustics and AI.
